Steps to Enter the Classroom

Once you enter the LearnCube website with the link provided, you will see the list of students and class times.

10-Minute Entry Rule

You cannot enter the classroom prior to 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. The “Enter Class” button will turn green when you are able to enter the classroom.

Entering Class - Click on the green “Enter Class”“Enter Class” button when you are ready to enter the classroom

Identification - When the “Welcome to Class” screen appears, type your name and click "Next."

Granting Permissions – At this time, you will see the following screen. You will need to grant permission for LearnCube to access your Camera and Microphone.

Your permission screen will look similar to one of the following pop up screens depending on your computer.

Multiple Options

If you have an internal and external camera, microphone, or speakers, you can change your options here to use the desired equipment that you want.

Hardware Diagnostic

A. The system will automatically perform a diagnostic to verify the browser is running properly. It will also check that your microphone and camera are also functioning.

Issues

If there is an issue with your browser, the system will show that part in red and that it failed. Check the information that needs to be corrected or try another browser.

If your camera or microphone has an issue, you can skip that test, and it will show in orange. You can continue to enter the classroom. However, you should resolve these for the best classroom experience as it is essential to be able to communicate properly in class.

There should be directions to assist you resolving this issue.

B. After the auto-check completes, you will need to manually check that your device is working for your specific camera, microphone, and speakers.

Speakers – The speaker box shows as “gray” and will not allow you to click the box. You must first perform a sound test. Click on the red “Test Sound” button.

If the speakers work, the gray box will turn white. At this time click the box and the system will automatically take you to the next part.

Classroom Entry – After the diagnostic is completed, you will now enter the classroom. You will see a pop-up menu before you have completed entry into the classroom. Depending on the browser being used, you will see a different entry screen.

Regardless of which screen you see, at this point you will click the green “Enter Classroom” button.

You are now in the classroom. You will see yourself on the participant panel. Your class will begin when your teacher is there.
